Critical Review by:
Mark Harmon, Guitarist for the 77s
"Hi
This Mark Harmon from the 77s. I just wanted to thank you so
much for sending me the book ... I have to
say, I've already finished it and am getting ready to read it again.
To be honest, my focus in life the past few years has not been on
Genesis or Revelation, but on the study of Orthodox Christianity. My
study of Genesis and Revelation occurred quite early in my life and
since my dad was friends with Hal Lindsey, you can imagine what views
I was exposed and gravitated to. However, I am a history buff and
analytic (engineer), so to be quite honest, your book and its claims
make a lot of sense to me.
I've never been one to believe that God
made nature to appear a certain way, only for the truth to be
another. I quite liked your comparison between the religion of
science and certain "modern" church views as being basically the same
- especially in America. I've believed that to be true for quite some
time now. Obviously, this can be a lengthy discussion. Anyway, I
wanted you to know that I really appreciate the book and what it has
to say and to thank you for sending it to me - it means a lot to me.
I sincerely hope that it becomes a wake-up call for the Church and
that it motivates people to 'think' again - something that is sorely
lacking, I believe...
Thanks so much again and stay in touch!"
